The K.O. Scholarship

The Kevin “K.O.” O’Donnell Scholarship is a $5,000 scholarship created to honor the life, character, and community spirit of Kevin O’Donnell, a beloved educator, coach, mentor, and advocate for young people in the DuBois area. Known affectionately as “K.O.,” he dedicated his life to helping others succeed through hard work, encouragement, and an unwavering belief in the potential of every student and athlete he encountered.

The scholarship supports graduating students from DuBois Area High School who demonstrate integrity, perseverance, leadership, and a commitment to serving others. Special consideration is given to first-generation college students, students with financial need, and those who have shown dedication to their school, team, workplace, family, or community through consistent effort and character.

More than an academic award, the K.O. Scholarship celebrates the values Kevin lived every day: humility, resilience, loyalty, and the belief that success is measured not only by achievement, but by how you treat people and give back to your community. Through this $5,000 scholarship, his legacy will continue to impact future generations of students for years to come.
